The latest version of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2014), removed the obligation for out of school clubs to deliver the EYFS learning and development requirements, but you are still expected to deliver a quality play experience for the children attending your setting. You can choose whether to prepare written play plans or not, but most providers find them useful and they can also be a good way to demonstrate to Ofsted how you reflect the interests of the children and how you support their learning and development.
